THE BEGINNING

First Truck Centre in Lloydminster, Alberta opens for business.

1992

BRANCHING OUT

First Truck Centre joins forces with Edmonton Freightliner Ltd. to better serve the central and northern Alberta transportation industry.

1996

EDMONTON SOUTH

A new satellite branch strategically located to better meet the needs of the commercial trucking sector in south Edmonton as well as the RV market.

1996

EDMONTON BODY SHOP

The addition of the Body Shop allows Velocity Truck Centres to be a one-stop service provider for all its customers’ commercial vehicle needs.

2008

VANCOUVER, BC

The acquisition of the Surrey-based Freightliner operation allowed Velocity Truck Centres to bring its customer-centric approach to the lower BC mainland again offering one-stop service offering including sales, service, parts and body shop repairs.

2014

EDMONTON SOUTH NEW LOCATION

To meet the needs of the ever-growing commercial and RV vehicle market in south Edmonton, Velocity Truck Centres relocates to a facility that tripled its operational footprint.

ABBOTSFORD, BC

With the opening of this full service location, Velocity Truck Centres clearly states its commitment to servicing the needs of the commercial and RV markets throughout the lower BC mainland.

BC NORTH

Acquired James Western Star Truck and Trailer giving us locations in Williams Lake, Prince George, and Fort St. John.

2022

PREMIUM TRUCK & TRAILER

Acquired Premium Truck & Trailer giving us additional locations in Williams Lake and Prince George as well as locations in Kelowna, Terrace and Kamloops British Columbia.

2023

Velocity Truck Centres

Acquired by Velocity Vehicle Group, First Truck Centre becomes Velocity Truck Centres on November 1, 2023, expanding its global reach into Canada.

P&R Truck Centre joins Velocity Truck Centres Canada on December 18, 2023 to create 18 dealerships in Western Canada across British Columbia and Alberta
