JOBS VANCOUVER

Lot Attendant

Opportunity:

Our Surrey, BC location has an exciting opening for a Lot Attendant. The Lot Attendant reports directly to the Service Manager and works daily with our team to maintain, clean, and organize our lot and inventory of new, used, and consignment trucks.

Responsibilities:

  • General maintenance of the property including cleaning windows, watering plants, sweeping, clearing the parking lot, sweeping, shoveling snow and clearing ice.
  • Cleaning and organizing the retail show room, maintain and clean the driver’s lounge.
    • Detailing vehicles, basic vehicle maintenance and driving vehicles around the lot.
    • General duties in the office including building and organizing furniture, conducting general repairs and must be able to work with basic hand tools.

Skill Set:

  • Mechanically inclined with an aptitude for basic diagnostics, repairs and maintenance
  • Strong willingness to following safety procedures and company policies
  • Proven history of maintaining a clean and organized workplace

Assistant Body Shop Manager

Opportunity:

First Truck Centre Vancouver Inc. is hiring an Assistant Body Shop Manager at our Surrey location. This role is responsible for all facets of customer support, daily workflow dispatch/management, and repair estimate preparation. In addition to being involved in developing both departmental budgets and objectives, this key position will also liaise with the PDI department for new truck deliveries as well as assume the responsibilities of Body Shop Manager in manager’s absence.   • Strong working knowledge of Mitchell Estimating system, Procede dealer management system, Outlook, Excel and Word.

Shipper Receiver

Opportunity:

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining customer relationships, nurtures existing client relationships, understands the needs of the customer while conducting effective negotiations and completing walk arounds upon delivery of new units.
  • Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner, prepares and presents sales proposals, understands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing clients.
  • Continually gathers information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicates information to management and others as needed.
  • Negotiates contracts and work agreements, completes purchase agreements and securing deposits, ensures that all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a tractor/trailer dealership
  • 2+ years of Sales experience
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities
  • Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of the trucking industry product information.
  • Must be knowledgeable with Freightliner and Western Star
  • Proven ability to generate sales revenues
