Assistant Bodyshop Manager

First Truck Centre Vancouver is a leading dealer in the transportation industry representing Freightliner Trucks, Thomas Built Bus, and Autocar.  As our business continues to grow, we have an immediate full-time opportunity for the newly created position of Assistant Body Shop Manager. This dynamic role offers for professional growth as well as the ability to become a member of the Senior Management team in a fast-paced, upbeat environment that drives for success.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all facets of customer support, daily workflow dispatch/management, and repair estimate preparation. In addition to being involved in developing both departmental budgets and objectives, this key position will also liaise with the PDI department for new truck deliveries as well as assume the responsibilities of Body Shop Manager in manager’s absence.

The position of Assistant Body Shop Manager will be filled by an individual who will possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a  body shop environment
  • Red Seal Body Journeyman ticket or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of both  the Mitchell Estimating system and the Procede dealer management system
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory or managerial experience
  • Proficiency in budget preparation and strategic planning
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word applications
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Compensation:

  • Pay rate ranges from $28.00-$37.68 per hour based on apprenticeship level
  • Company reimbursed tuition for apprenticeship training
