1978
- First Truck Centre was first founded in Lloydminster as White Truck Sales Lloydminster Ltd.
- The product line included "The Big Four": Autocar, White, Freightliner, and Western Star.
1980
- After a major restructuring in the heavy-duty truck manufacturing industry, "White Truck Sales Lloydminster" re-emerged as Lloydminster's Western Star dealer.
- Edmonton Freightliner Ltd. was founded and began servicing Edmonton and Northern Alberta markets.
1985
- First Truck Centre added the famed Freightliner nameplate to its successful Western Star dealership.
1992
- Edmonton Freightliner Ltd. and First Truck Centre Lloydminster joined forces and created a dynamic franchise that serviced the heavy-duty truck industry's needs across Northern Alberta and Western Saskatchewan.
- First Truck Centre added a new body shop in West Edmonton and a parts and service facility in South Edmonton.
1996
- First Truck Centre's West Edmonton location introduced 24/7 operations as part of its full-service, customer-oriented approach.
1998
- The Lloydminster operation upgraded to a new ultra-modern facility to meet customers' growing needs.
2000
- First Truck Centre expanded operations to include services for the bus industry and created First Bus Centre.
2008
- Freightliner of Vancouver became part of the First Truck Centre family.
